To ensure proper adhesion, it is recommended to select a tape width that allows for overhang on each side and apply it to the top of a joist or beam with firm pressure, preferably using a hand roller. It is best to apply this tape to clean, dry lumber for optimal results.

PRO-Tac tape can be used for various applications such as protecting the top of joists before deck installation, serving as flashing for ledger board attachment to homes, or safeguarding exposed/raw end-grain.
